Paperless Wedding
Cutting the paper out of wedding invitations
![]() Introduce yourself: Hello I am Emma Taylor, wife and mother and owner of Paperless Wedding! I am originally from Southport, but now live in London with my husband and 2 year old daughter. We have lived in New Zealand and Australia, but you can't beat being home surrounded by family and friends. Paperless Wedding was started when we relocated to New Zealand and after we had our own Paperless Wedding. My husband designed and built the orignal site for our wedding and then we redesigned and launched in NZ in 2009. It has been running there and in Australia ever since. There was a huge gap in the market for a local company that catered for local people and we weren't a big American company! What services do you offer? We offer 3 packages. A FREE 'Save the Date' option where couples can choose a theme, upload a guest list and send a digital Save the Date. Their details can then be saved and when they choose our 'Full Package' they can reactivate their design and guest list ready to send their digital invitations and create their personal wedding website. The themes can be edited or they can create their very own from scratch. The final package is 'Website Only' which allows the couples to send paper invitations (which we don't do!) but within them is the URL for their website so guests can login and see more details about the wedding day. This saves additional paper being added to the invitation so still an eco friendly option! What makes your service unique? Our service is unique for a number of reasons.
What do you love about the wedding industry/your business? I am a big organiser and love a tick list. Organising my own wedding was great fun and I love reading blogs, pinning and being inspired by the lovely weddings I see. I love working for myself and being able to fit the job in around family life. What do your clients say about your business? Feedback from couples and guests is always great. So many people had not even considered this as an option and when they have tried us they love how simple it is. Couples with guests all over the world love our wedding websites as it helps makes people near and far feel included in the big day. Any eco money saving tips for brides and grooms to be? Use Paperless Wedding! We save couples around £600 by going digital (based on 100 guests with 60% receiving an invitation). They save on paper, delivery and RSVP cards, which in hand saves trees and carbon emissions. Future plans... We want to work with Stationery Designers showcasing their designs as a wedding website and allowing them to continue making paper invitations that match. We want to add lots more designs on the site!
